Sustainable Places 2019, 5-7 June, Cagliari (IT)

Sustainable Places prides itself on being an ideal platform for the dissemination of research, the conduct of workshops, EU project clustering and networking between stakeholders of all types. SP2019 will be held over three days allowing morning travel on the first day and afternoon travel on the third day. Between opening and closing keynote sessions, parallel technical sessions and project-organized workshops are held on conference topic areas. The venue is available all week (free of charge) for project meetings and side events.

Initiated by the French Energy NCP network and supported by the European Commission, SP2019 will feature a pre-conference infoday and brokerage event on 5 June from 09:00 to 13:00. The session will be moderated and animated by:

  • Margot Pinault – Policy Officer, European Commission, Directorate General for Energy, Unit C.3., Buildings and Finance team; Brussels, Belgium
  • Pierre Antoine Vernon – Project advisor, European Commission, EASME B.1 – H2020 Energy
  • Annabelle Rondaud – CEA – French NCP Energy coordinator.

Workshops that foster clustering opportunities between H2020 projects (and other research efforts) are a core element of Sustainable Places each year.  So far, submitted workshop themes include Demand Response, Island Sustainability, Energy Storage, Influencing Behavior Change in EE, BIM, Concentrated Solar Power, Solar Thermal, District Heating & Cooling, Business Models for Deep Retrofit, Building Renovation in Cities, Harnessing Sun and Ambient Heat and others.
